Greater than one weekThis is a heavy duty plug and does what it is supposed to do. I won’t probably use it often but it’s a necessity to have one onboard and I feel better having it in my storage bay. It was a pleasant surprise to also get a light weight storage bag and a very nice microfiber cloth which is very thick and will be useful for polishing. Every RV’er should have one of these for those “just in case” situations.

Greater than one weekThis is a nice rugged 30 Amp to 110 Volt adapter to use when plugging in travel trailer at home. The cord is a nice heavy well built cord.

20-11-2024We recently purchased an RV and needed a connector plug to convert the 30 amp RV plug to the 15 amp receptacle available at our home. This unit seems very sturdy and well made. As it is a necessity, it nonetheless is a good value and will hopefully last a long time.

> 3 dayIn case my 50A cord fails I can at least use this one anywhere there is 15A available as a backup. I also have a 50A to 30A adapter and a really long 30A extension cord. So when 50A is not needed, you dont need your hefty 50A cord at all. This one came with a bag that is large enough to hold all my dogbone cables, although a closure method would make it better.

> 3 dayHaving a series of different plug in adapters is almost a necessity. Long ago I ended up at a camping site where I couldnt plug in. A trudge down to the camp store, I purchased an overpriced OK quality adaptor. It is best to be in the place of having what it takes to plug into whatever the campsite has. Or in this case, I can plug my trailer in at home. True, this will not be the full 30 amps, but at home Im not pulling that much power. It will allow me to check everything before I leave the driveway though. That is good and inexpensive piece of mind.

> 3 dayAs another reviewer stated, this is limited by the straight 5-20 plug. Most of these pigtails have both plug and receptacle at a 90° angle. While the TT30R is exactly that, the 5-20P is straight, which creates a stress point if that part is plugged into a wall outlet. Frankly, for those situations, a pigtail with a 90° angle 5-20P should be use. With that said, there is a situation where this straight 5-20P would be preferred, and thats with a (heavy duty) extension cord.
