This stainless steel screen material is promoted as a rodent barrier material but I got it for an entirely different purpose. I cleaned the the aluminum mesh filter on my range hood using a strong caustic oven cleaner, which was a mistake, because it dissolved the aluminum material. So I was stuck with trying to find a replacement filter. Well good luck. Apparently there is no such thing as standard filter sizes for range hoods and every maker seems to have their own unique filter dimension. I was unable to find a replacement filter of the size needed. So I decided to make my own filter using the original filter frame. I took this stainless steel screen, cut it to a size so I could fold it to make multiple layers sandwiched together, removed the damaged filter and installed the multi-layer screen in the original aluminum channel frame. It seems to work fine. Time will tell, I guess. But that is one new use for this versatile product. The screen came rolled in tube so no problem with the packaging reported by some customers.

This product worked perfectly for what I needed. Glad I purchased it. It was wide enough for my purpose which was difficult to find.

I had an issue with rats and mice getting into our shed attic. Yes, the attic; they were somehow climbing up into the attic. I finally figured out that they were climbing between the siding and plywood, so I ordered this mesh to help cover the areas at the top of the plywood that was giving them entry into the shed. It was very easy to install and cut, and also easy to staple in the areas that I needed. Since this mesh is metallic, they cant chew through it and instead will probably end up with little broken teeth. Serves them right.

The ends where you cut it unweave so yeah be ready for that.

La qualité du produit est très bonne et comme mentionné par dautres acheteurs le rouleau de moustiquaire était courbé sur lui-même dans une petite boîte. Jai dû le suspendre à laide dune pince afin de lui redonner sa forme de rouleau-tube.

Used for a leaf filter on my house guttering.

This was bought to repair the screens on my foundation vent. I bought it because it said it could be used for the vent but this wire is too flimsy for that purpose. The original mesh is heavier like a 10 mesh. And if critters can eat through that then this wire mesh would be like eating through butter for that use. It’s probably ok for window screen which is what I’ll save it for now. Don’t be misled.
