Not sure if they are actually brass?? Appear to be gold-ish colored steel. They work okay, but the bristles bend flat a lot quicker than some of the real brass brushes I have. For the price and quantity they are worth it. If you are buying them as softer than steel brass bristle brushed, Id keep looking.

Theses are sturdy brushes. I think this box is going to last a long time.

They get the job done cleaning metal surfaces. They last as long as you would expect for their intend purpose and use.

I use these to clean off dried powder residue, although it can handle bigger buildup. Its also great for cleaning small rust buildup before putting in new bearings on wheels. They dont last long, but for the price they are cost effective.

Unlike some other very similar looking wire brushes, the handles on these dont seem to break so easily. These brushes have held up well for me so far. At less than fifty cents each, these seem to me like a really good deal.

Works great for TIG welding prep. The bristles are stiff enough to clean efficiently and last a long time. Reviewers who complained about the handles breaking are probably expecting their brushes to do things for which they were not intended, like removing heavy rust scale or other stubborn debris. Its possible to break the handle but you have to work at it.
