> 24 hourVery fast shipping. 3M tape is good stuff. You are paying about $2 more than Home Depot or Lowe’s. But it’s worth it for the convenience of Amazon fulfillment.

> 24 hourScotch Electrical Tape, 3/4-in by 66-ft, Black I purchased two rolls of tape. The rolls I received were clearly defective. They had a carboard backing covered with a harder transparent formed plastic. I opened one package. The plastic covering fell off. It no longer adhered to the cardboard backing due to age and/or environ. The other product appeared to be in the same condition. The sides of the roll of tape were covered with a thin clear material. Removing this material was difficult, as the roll of tape seemed to be partially melted to it. I was able to get it off, but was covered with what once was adhesive material, now black in color and gooey. This material got all over my hands and was challenging to wash off. I cut off a piece of the tape itself. It was no longer adhesive. The item I attempted to stick the tape to was then, not surprisingly, covered with the black jelly-like goo. The goo had mostly lost its stick-to-it-iveness, but, anthropomorphized, sure seemed to enjoy gliding around covering more surface area. It was, as some say, a royal pain in the (cough) to remove (at least visibly - its most likely still lurking). Not a great experience. These rolls of tape are very old and/or were exposed to extreme temperature and/or other factors resulting in their no longer being effective. The condition was easily noticeable and the lot should be disposed of - certainly not sold. Buying these rolls wasted my time, negatively impacted something I own, may be the source of another The Blob remake, and may have altered my genetic code. Only time will tell. As per the many other reviews citing the same mysterious black gooey residue issues, possibly of alien origin, that Ive reported, this isnt a one-off problem. Why is Amazon continuing to sell this? What are the 5-star reviews on about? What is the goo? Inquisitive minds want to know.
