> 3 dayI used this for the back of my television, so I didnt want a long cable hanging around, this short cable is perfect, it plugs into the tc USB, and gives me 4 more, and the cable isnt hanging all over the place.

> 3 dayA USB port expander has become a pretty common accessory to keep in your laptop bag, especially with the slow disappearance of ports, so for $8 theres really no argument. The Sanzang unit is small, very lightweight, and works perfectly. I just think it could possibly have been made maybe 25% smaller if all the space on one end hadnt been devoted to a blue LED. But admittedly I may be splitting hairs....

> 3 dayThe longer cord on this port expander can come in very handy!

> 3 dayFrom reading the comments others have left, there seems to be some confusion about whether this can power USB devices or if its only for data transfer. Some USB hubs have a separate power supply that plugs into an AC wall outlet so it can be used to power the hub and be used for fast recharging. This USB hub does not have an outboard power supply and relies only on the power from the USB outlet that it is plugged into. But that does not mean it cant be used to power other USB devices. It can. But not as strongly or quickly as hubs with separate power supplies. It does fast data transfer well. The build quality is just OK, not excellent as it is very light, almost entirely made of thin plastic and does not have a solid feel to it. But for the price, its a decent buy and gets the job done.

> 3 dayThis does exactly what I needed it for....needing more USB ports for my Mac Mini. This is great and has a short cord, which is perfect. No external power needed and that makes it better for me so that I dont have more cords. Recommend this for someone who is needing it for their computer.

> 3 dayI just needed a USB expander -- it didnt need to special, it just needed to work, and this one does that. So far every gaget I have plugged in works. It keeps my speaker charged, USB memory sticks work just fine, my USB dvd player that I have rare occasion to use works. Mouse, and keyboard work. So Im happy.

> 3 daySome of the ports on my older hub were beginning to give me trouble with connectivity on my mouse and keyboard dongles. I picked up this hub and plugged it into a spare working port on my older hub, then plugged in my two dongles, and theyve been working perfectly. No more cutting in and out on connectivity. This hub would also be great to connect to a laptop, and would be easy to travel with. Also like the different cord lengths available, from 6 to 3.3. Great product for the price.

> 3 dayI think the primary application for this USB hub is for a laptop on the move. I am using it as an attachment to my desktop computer so I can charge random devices in my house. I only find that its a little too light, so when I have a few things connected to it, it doesnt sit flat. Otherwise it works as advertised.

> 3 daySo considering that this is made in China, I would not trust it for any sensitive information pass through, but for my intended purposes it is a great buy. I plan on using this in my RV as a splitter for the built in DC system to allow for multiple devices charging from the workstation where there is only a single USB port currently. Testing here at home went well and everything charged as expected across the ports.
