I have been using a safety pin to run my elastic through my sewing projects for years....what was I thinking!! These make my life so much easier...just slide it through the channel, put your elastic through the hole and pull it back through!!! These are wonderful, helpful, useful, you get 5 in pretty colors and no more poked fingers from pins!!

I don’t know how I lived without these. I’ve always used a safety pin to thread my elastic, but this is much better (for smaller/thinner elastic). It threads it much faster. I also love to use the flat end to check for a 1/4 inch seam allowance or to help feed a piece of fabric under my sewing machine foot when I have a little flap. The pointed end is also handy for this purpose too, depending on the situation, plus I use it to help push out and flatten a seam before pressing when making masks. Very handy and sturdy little sewing tool!

These things are so great for sewing and embroidery. I had one and now it is nice having them scattered around the sewing room so I don’t have to remember where I used it last. These things are so handy. I am amazed how often I end up using them.

I’d heard the “Purple Thang” tools were great, but their price seemed ridiculous. These seem to be the same thing, but reasonably priced. Glad there are five, because I use them all the time—helping a thick seam move along under the presser foot, holding a seam open while I steam press it, turning out corners, finger pressing... there’s no end of uses for these, and they eliminate the need for several other individual tools. One of my “thangs” is at the ironing board, others at the serger, sewing machine, and embroidery machine; and I keep one in my hand-sewing box. Five isn’t too many!

The Thang is such a useful tool that you cant have just one. I had a traditional purple one by two sewing machines. Now I have one with my Go to Sew stuff and spares for gifts and whatevers. They seem to be the quality of the original and are so colorful its like the first day of school with a full pencil box.

Thang is very easy to use and a great value for your money. Making masks and makes it very easy to get your elastic into the mask.

They’re little skinny plastic “thangs.” Nothing fancy and do the job well! Love that you receive several.

Works well with my sewing machine. Like the different colors too.
