(500) Days of Summer [DVD] [2009]

I love Zooey and watched about half this movie, although I kept getting bored and doing other things. This movie is like a suburban kid desperately trying to be edgy, stylistic and European influenced. It just doesnt work. The male lead while hot when he is kissing her the rest of the time has the charisma of a goldfish. Very tame and boring in every possible way.

My favorite movie!

This movie actually wasnt as appealing as everyone made it seem. I had heard a lot of people talk about how inspiring this movie was, but its mostly just sad. I suppose it could be a good look into relationships, but it was dull. I could barely keep my attention focused on the movie as it was playing.

I can only comment on the first 30 minutes because they were so terrible I couldnt watch any more. Bad acting, no chemistry, boring story. I guess they figured the whole non-linear gimmick could rescue anything.

This was a gift so not able to give proper review ,but I am told it was funny a good chick flick.

One of my all time favorite ! Recommend to watch it twice. 1st focus on Tom perspective ,2nd for Summer perspective. You will understand the stories much deeper!

This movie is quirky and cute. If you like to laugh, without the love being too mushy, this is for you.

Finally, a movie that realistically depicts a relationship! The opening line, You should be warned, this is not a love story perfectly describes the story. Although its a boy-meets-girl movie, it doesnt take views on the typical saga of fighting, cheating, and getting back together. It is hilarious and depressing at the same time. Also its a non-linear narrative that goes back and forth between the past and present which makes it very interesting. This is a must see love story!
