> 3 dayThe kit just arrived. The mandrels do not fit a 3/8 inch drill chuck. Is a 1/2” chuck required? Where’s the support phone number?

> 3 dayBought this set to do a plumbing project, but I also wanted to have a variety of sizes on hand. This seemed like a nice homeowner quality set. looks very nice and complete...but you better have a drill with a 1/2 chuck. They give you two mandrels in the set and I figured the smaller one would fit my 3/8 drill. Nope. They are both too big! Luckily I have a big hammer drill with a large chuck so I was able to use the set for my project. Thats all well and good but there are a lot of places this monster drill would not fit. I only used 1 size for three holes and it seems to cut clean without much effort. I cant speak to longevity, but quality seems reasonable at the price. Bummer about the mandrels.

> 3 dayThe metal that the blades are made out of is pretty thin and they seem to dull quickly with minimal use. Nice to have as a more disposable pack but wouldnt count on it for any thicker metals or anything of that sort.

> 3 dayCheck the exact size you need to cut out holes for LED spots. I needed a cut-out for 8 LED, but this one did not fit. The hole is too small and I will need to buy another hole saw. This hole saw is 203 mm.

> 3 dayTool is fine but it is not very sharp. If you want to use it regularly or or for serious job, then you need to know how to sharp it manually.

> 3 dayMy unit came brand new and shrink wrapped but missing the small mandrel. I don’t need the small sizes, so it didn’t matter to me. But if you plan to use the smaller size holes, beware!

> 3 dayDrill bit fit perfect, worked perfect, absolutely the exact thing that we needed to drill a hole to install an exhaust vent/fan

17-11-2024These are definitely more cheaply made than my standalone hole saws for going through hard materials, but it is very convenient to have all these sizes in one case. That makes them better than the random ones I have from different tool sets. They are sturdy enough for soft wood cutting, though not very deep. Making holes for electrical boxes and that sort of thing is no problem. If you just use a hole saw here and there, this is a good purchase.
