I have used this suit case about 4 times now and it works great. Its the first one that I have used that has the 4 wheels to glide instead of rolling it behind me. Its the perfect carry-on for an airplane and it actually holds a lot. I love how it expands for more storage but that wont fit in the overhead when expanded.

This is a lightweight hard-shelled carry on that abides by most us carriers rules for carry on. It is a glossy black with matte reinforced front edges. The adjustable handle can shift between two varying heights and there is also one handle at the top if you would like to lift and carry it. The case does have two zipper closures for adjusting of the bags width, the expanding zipper gives about another inch of width. The inside has an enclosed zippered compartment that runs the length of the bag that can contain breakables or things you do not want moving around easily. There are two pocket for shoes and two other zipper compartments for miscellaneous items. The inside has the typical x elastic holder to keep your hanging clothes confined. There is also another zippered compartment on this side that would lie on top of the x when the case is closed. The four wheels each move independently and flow smoothly over carpet and hard surfaces which makes running through the airport from gate to gate that much easier. The only drawback that I can find is that there are no true distinguishing features that separate it out from the other of hundred carry on bags, the swiss gear emblem is a discreet small silver at the front. If if ever needs to be checked I would recommend putting something on it to make it stand out.

This SwissGear Carry-On 20-Inch may not stand out in a crowd because of its small emblem and basic color, but it will be a stand-out to anyone who takes a moment to notice its sleek beauty and its effortless movements. You won’t have to struggle with this expandable handle. The silver matte accents and the two reinforced bolted corners are very attractive. The material reminds me of my patent leather Sunday school shoes in the 60’s. These wheels are made for spinning and are so smooth; this could be your dance partner. The top handle feels soft like a rubber eraser and is very comfortable. The zippers are beefy, with 2 pull tabs for the main compartment two-way, and one bigger pull tab for the extended space. The only negative I can find is that when this case attracts some static dust, it’s visible because of the shiny black surface.

Havent been traveling as much, but have used this couple times and already liking it way more than my old softshell. Good use of space inside, and the extra compartments do give this some extra versatility.

The exterior is sturdy, but does not take away from the internal space. It extends about 2-3 inches as well. I went on vacation with this thing stuffed to the brim and it was still easy to travel with. Best purchase I could have made.

So this is one of those carry-on suitcases that you can expand if you need to (or stuff it full, sit on it, and then zip the expansion back full heheh) thats also hard-sided to protect the inside. Its loaded with features including shoe pockets!!! I really like it and hope to take it on more trips in the future. So far its only taken two flights and held up well both times. You can really wheel it around any way you like, and its nimble and easy to maneuver even when I had to take it with me into an airport bathroom stall. Zipper jammed a little wee bit the first time I zipped it all the way shut (no I was not sitting on it trying to overstuff it!) but zero problems since then.

I love the hard sided suitcase and I was the last in the family to get my own carry on. This is our 4th carry-on so it’s easy for me to compare features. This one is almost perfect in size, design, and various compartments. The only thing it is missing, in my opinion, is a built-in TSA lock. Otherwise, it’s expandable, plenty of interior pockets, and easy to maneuver.

I am really impressed with this SwissGear carry-on bag! Before having kids, I traveled for a living, sometimes upward 300 nights per year. So I know an excellent suitcase when I see it. This is a 20” expandable hard shell carry-on. It’s ‘carry-on’ approved for most airlines. It is lightweight but sturdy. The zippers are easy to use and smooth. The wheels are multi-directional, so you can push, pull, drag, or spin this beauty through the airport. The finish is chic and shiny black. The handles are strong and the interior lining has mesh a pockets and straps to organize your things. And now for my absolute favorite part: the telescoping handle is like BUTTER. Seriously, it is the most smooth handle action I’ve seen, as compared to some of my bags in the past like Tumi, Timberland, Vera Bradley, and Samsonite. It’s very well made and perfect to give to my mother-in-law who is headed to Vegas in a couple of weeks. Great product!

I like SWISS-GEAR BLACK 20-Inch CARRY-ON SUITCASE for it is expandable, lightweight(6.2lbs) and most maneuverable four wheel bag I have used! I don’t like the fine scratches and scuff marks on sides of the case I have experienced from use in vehicles.

My husband uses this SwissGear luggage. It’s solid and glides smooth. Plenty of space for a small luggage. The hard shell makes it more heavy duty but it is lightweight.
