> 24 hourHad this thing for 2 years completely terrible always begging for updates and when it does update it dosnt tell you after which when you try to turn it on to use the screen stays black while everything else boots up so you have to either way 5 mins for it to pop on or completely hard reset the laptop, Don’t even bother with its battery life says it’s over 5 hours in reality it’s more like 1hour and 20 mins I have to keep the damn thing plugged in 24/7 to get any use out of it don’t ever buy this save yourself the trouble and find something else

> 24 hourThe computer was fine for what I needed. The problem is when I downloaded a windows update the computer wouldn’t boot up. It was stuck in a loop. I called Acer and they walked me through a few potential fixes but nothing worked. I sent the computer back to Acer, when they received it they called me and said they weren’t going to even look at it to fix it because they could tell water was spilled on it. My only option was to buy another computer from them. I did not spill water on it and there was no issue with the computer until I downloaded the update. It was clearly a software issue. This excuse about the water was a way for Acer to get out of their warranty. I’ll never buy an Acer product again.

> 24 hourLove it so far and no issues to speak of. It’s just for personal use, not for gaming or work. M on it a few times a week for internet, photos, files etc. My only complaint is I can’t install our home printer or scanner because they aren’t a Microsoft product. You can change it out of S mode and install whatever you want but that will eliminate safety and security features. You can’t switch it back either.

> 24 hourI had two laptops over the past 11 years; ones an Acer ( March 2010-March 2015 ) the other a HP ( March 25,2015- May 31st, 2021 ). Anyway, Acer laptops have top tier specs and powerful processors at reasonable prices, and this Aspire 5 laptop does not disappoint. While there is no optic drive, getting an external drive shouldnt be a problem. The Full HD screen is remarkable, the 10th Generation Intel Core i3 processor is quick, and its light, again no CD/DVD drive, but easy on the hands. Im glad I decided to go back to Acer for my Third laptop, and this time, its going to Aspire and Inspire me for the next four or so years ( Im 51, so, its never too late to tackle a laptop ). Acer, Im back, and you got a winner with the Aspire 5!

> 24 hour“no bootable device “ seems to be this laptop’s mantra. Unit crashes while in sleep mode or not in use. When it’s in use, seems ok. For now it’s a doorstop.

> 24 hourI am not one to leave reviews, but hoping I can save somebody money. I had this laptop for 1 month and a couple days before it would no longer boot up. I called Acer and without me even reading what was on my screen, the customer service rep already knew what was going on, which tells me that this is a common problem. Apparently it’s “uncommon” and the laptop I received just had a bad hard drive. I was in love with this laptop for the entire month it worked, but will absolutely not recommend this to anybody looking to purchase a laptop. I am so disappointed in this purchase.
