So I bought this computer on black Friday, watched a lot of videos / reviews on the computer everything was 10/10. When I got the computer i check it out and it was perfect. Watched 1 video on YouTube and thats when things went down hill for me..

Well I hoped I would love this and did for a couple of months (had to get used to the S Mode though). Then suddenly the sound no longer worked. Called Amazon Acer Support and they said Audio had been uninstalled (which I had not done). Gave a couple of suggestions but didnt seem to know what they were talking about. I left it alone to decide what to do and after about 2 weeks the audio started working again. Dont have faith it will continue though.

Do not buy this pos product. The hard drive is likely to fail on you. It will fail within a day of the Amazon return window closing. Acer will replace it with a similarly faulty hard drive that will fail again. Additionally, just dont buy electronics from Amazon. They wont help you with anything at all once that 30 day mark passes.

A great slim and light laptop at a great price. I use it as a desktop hooked up to a 28 monitor thru HDMI and a wireless keyboard and mouse, so I cant comment on the display, touchpad, or keyboard since I dont need or use them, but I can say it has plenty of ports including an ethernet jack and USB-C. It runs really well - very fast and stable, and nice and compact sitting on my desk. The 8th gen i3 is so much faster than the 1st gen i3 laptop it replaced when it died. I immediately switched the Win-10 S-mode to Win-10 home (very easy) and added another 4gb RAM stick for a total of 8gb, and added a 400gb data SSD. Both upgrades were super easy on this unit (search YouTube for how-to) and improved performance in photo editing and future-proofed it for years to come. Highly recommended.

Great value

I bought this laptop after reading many good customer reviews. But i am extremely disappointed by this acer product. The computer stopped working after about 34 days of off and on use. Called the acer customer service, the tech person asked me to reset the machine to factory condition. Which I did. After that it will not load windows. Again called the tech department, they told me that my laptop needed repair at their repair center in Texas and I will have to pay for shipping. I sent it via UPS insured and got it back in a timely manner with so called,

Love the clear screen. Just not used to google docs and microsoft edge and still learning how to use this laptop.

Linda, funciona bien excepto para lo mas pejor sistema de sonido. Mira, como cereal, snap, crackle pop. Otra problema que frequenamente se necesita usar un raton porque el touchpad no sirve y es necesario performar una procedmiento de reponer el estatu del bateria. Muy feo. 2.5 estrellas
