Acer Chromebook 15, Intel Celeron N3350, 15.6 Full HD Touch, 4GB LPDDR4, 32GB Storage, Google Chrome, Pure Silver, CB515-1HT-C2AE, 15-15.99 Inches

We use Chromebooks in small office setting. We have bought Acers in past with celeron processors and 4 gb ram, and they have performed well. It seems they have changed out hard drives for flash drives or some other technical change has transpired that has dramatically slowed down these devices. We open tab sets with 5-7 tabs at a time. On our older Acer machines it takes about 30 seconds to load a tab set. On this new machine, it took over 2 minutes. It was worse than the old Acers with 2GB of ram. Other than that, beautiful machine. Screens are better than the old ones. There is a three star review where he talks about speed too. If you are only using for email or browsing it may be okay, but if you want to use with Google Drive and multiple files open, possibly with a second monitor, this is a slug. Bad tech design by Acer.

This computer is so fast. It starts up immediately. Touch screen is fantastic. Backlit full size keyboard is great. I made a great purchase!

I purchased this chromebook in 2020 to use for work (3-6 telehealth sessions 4 days per week). Positives: its light, user-friendly, relatively affordable, simple, and pretty fast. Im not a technology person at all, but this was very easy for me too navigate for work.

Screen is dead on arrival. I tried to contact Acer however this product is not provide international warranty which I get none of support. Seller have nothing to do about it.

Just shy of having this chromebook for a year, the display went black. The power was on however there was no display. Sent it in the ACER repair center where this did fix the problem. After mailing it back and checking to see if it worked, I put it away for the summer so my kid would not play video games. Took it out 4 months later when school started up again and he used it for 6 weeks when this problem happened again. It is now not under warranty- even though we sent this in previously, Obviously its a defect. They quoted me $249.00 to fix it. I wont fix it and I wont buy ACER products again.

The Acer Chromebook was easy to get started on right out of the box. I was surprised to see that the power cable connects to a micro-USB port, which is different than any laptop I’ve ever owned. I got this so my son (age 4.5) could visit some educational websites and learn to use a computer. He caught on really quickly, partly because he’s used to how a tablet works. The Chromebook doesn’t have a desktop, just a bar at the bottom where you can pin apps. I wish there was a way to enlarge the app icons – they’re too small to distinguish in some cases. I love that I can pin the apps my son can use, and hide the others (eventually he’ll figure out how to see all apps, but he’s fortunately not there yet lol). The battery lasted about four hours from a full charge, but he was watching videos and playing interactive games so it might last longer for someone who uses it just for email and surfing the internet. Great product for people who don’t need a lot of apps or for computer novices.

This is my second chrome note laptop. Golly I love it. everything a computer should be. Fast, saves your works . password saver and google docs. Easy up dates do not crash your computer!

We received our chrome book and the screen would not light up. I could use a flashlight to see what was on the screen and was also able to determine the touchscreen did not work. We researched a lot before buying this for our daughter and are beyond disappointed. I’m looking for ways to fix, we found many similar reports for Acer chrome books

Honestly, no problem with the computer if you just want to use it for web searching or using nay of Google Apps. I need Adobe programs and they, along with so may others, do not work on it. I wish I could return.
