> 24 hourI really thought this would be a good value for a gaming computer. I was right for about a year. After 1 year, almost to the day I got it, it started to have problems. It started to overheat so much that my fingers got a burn. It was only a 1st degree burn though I never thought I would have to worry about that with a laptop. I It then started to shut off randomly. I thought it lost connection to the charger or it went bad so I purchased another one. That didnt fix it. Now it only works if I unplug the charger and run off battery which only lasts so long. I decided to see what Acer could do as it is their product that failed a little after a year. I wouldnt write this except Acer, told me it was out of limited warranty so I would need to pay $749.99 to get them to fix it! That is 65% the original cost! Apple support is far better which is saying a lot. It is just ridiculous and I will never get an Acer again as long as I live.

> 24 hourHonestly the system is exactly what I want. Simple gaming system I can travel with, the graphics card is better than other systems at the price, and I was able to use the internal M2 spot to install a 1TB drive. all in all Star Citizen, Doom, World of Warcraft and multiple other games are running great faster than my gaming desktop.Only downside is it is only 1080p but for the price & it is easy to overlook. and dont touch the screen it isnt touch screen.

> 24 hourOriginally my review was good before I realized this laptop runs extremely hotter than any system should. Under Minimal load with fans at max RPM I am seeing spikes reaching 90-95 degree Celsius. I sent it in for this issue and when I got it back the problem is still there. Acer says that they resolved the problem and tried telling me these are normal temps. These are not normal temps as the CPU melts very close to this temp. After being run around for a while I am beginning to think this is all a scam. They make some lemons and give people a run around until they cannot return the damn thing. I should have realized something was up when it took them THREE tries to get my email right in order to send a shipping label for repair.

> 24 hourOverall great laptop, loving it so far. I mostly use it to play Warzone. The CPU in particular was getting quite hot as gaming laptops often do (90+ degrees Celsius) even with a cooling pad, so I looked up some YouTube videos on cooling and found out about a free program called ThrottleStop which allows you to 1) undervolt the laptop (reducing voltage to your CPU) and 2) dropping Turbo Ratio Limits down (I dropped to 32 for all cores), which caps the turbo speed of the laptop.

> 24 hourI know very little about computer spec for a high quality gaming laptop, but after reviewing products, I felt this product had the functionality my son needed for online gaming and the price was reasonable in comparison to the other products with similar specs. I got this laptop as a Christmas gift for my son, and he loves it! He said the graphics are awesome and he said the speed is high enough that he isn’t experiencing any lag when playing online games. I highly recommend this quality product that won’t break the bank!

> 24 hourWell for starters this device is great , well except for thermal performence . When im gaming this laptop run over 90c . So at this level of heat it is very uncomfortable (painful) to touch the upper part of the laptop . And mostly the cpu is the one gives you most troubles with heat. So only solution so far i found was to use throttlestop software to turn off turbo boost of the cpu and then the laptop runs even the hardcore games at around 70c. But im pretty bummed about that because as you can see one of the most famous marketing point about this laptop is its so called 4th gen aero blade fans . And even when i turn on the max fan mode it doesnt reduce much heat when gaming (or heavy work). Mostly you can expect is one or two degrees of temperature difference.

> 24 hourI had a previous gaming laptop by Acer and absolutely loved it, so when it was time to upgrade, I went with a similar replacement. I’ve had this laptop for a number of months and use it for about 12-14 hours a day for both work and gaming.
