I bought it for $1200 and it out performs anything under $2000 (assuming it’s plugged in, duh). RTX 3060, 2 NVMe slots (I added a Samsung 2TB 970 evo plus where I keep my games), extra 2” B SSD slot, great cooling, overclocking function, thunderbolt 4 port of I ever want to upgrade my graphics card and use an eGPU, USB 3.2 ports, HDMI, mini display port, and a processor that will be the last thing to slow down your gaming. Honestly, I pity anyone who buys any other gaming laptop, even other predator models. I play Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 on a high/ultra setting combo at about 100fps plus. That’s pretty sweet for a $1200 laptop. Only complaint, battery life is not meant for gaming though, and that’s the only down side. It’s a portable gaming PC with a ton of upgrade potential with the extra NVMe M.2 slot and thunderbolt 4 port, but it really has to be plugged in for any real gaming.

I wanted to love this laptop, but it makes a constant, high pitched, whining noise when the cooling fans are running. This seems to be a known issue and a flaw of the overall physical design of the fans/ventilation. If you search Acers forums, or Reddit, you will notice other users reporting the same problem.

Had the laptop for about 4 months I have had no issues played every game I own with no issues. Except Skyrim for some reason. Upgraded the SSD took about 10 minutes taking the back off was kind of a pain. Overall a solid laptop I travel a lot so I bought it. If your not going to travel a lot just buy a prebuilt or build your own PC.

There was nothing to dislike, it operates perfect. Its just not the most powerful, the processing is two generations old with the i7 and the HDMI has lag from laptop to screen inputs about a second or more of lag from PC to HDMI connected screen. Several crashes even on turbo and low frame games that are 2D. As for portable gaming its the best low end you can get for the price though it should already have the extra ram and ssd installed.

The laptop is running way to hot even when fans are at max speeds only have game up CS:GO

This is my first gaming laptop in 7-8 years. I am astonished how fast this laptop is even with the base model and the video card only being a 3060. To be clear this is the one I have: Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-54-760S Gaming Laptop | Intel i7-11800H | NVIDIA GeForce 3060.

This is a great midpoint laptop all around. Excellent microphone and sound is a plus

Spent a lot of money on the item and after 5 months screen stopped working! Customer service is a joke! Couldn’t understand the person on the phone and 40 + minutes on the phone nothing was solved! Ugh
