> 24 hourI got this to use with my new Alienware laptop and have finally figured out that it is preventing my laptop from turning the screen off and going to sleep from inactivity. Super lame. Puts so much more wear and tear on my laptop from not going into power save mode, let alone my electric bill. Makes it so I dont want to use it but it took me too long to figure out what was going on so I dont think I can return it. Watch out. This thing will burn your screens out.

> 24 hourPROS: I recently bought an Alienware PC and thought this keyboard would complete the set because it has Alienware on the bottom next to the spacebar and it lights up with RGB. Like, who doesnt like RGB. The sound scroll volume on the side is amazing also, I can watch shows or listen to music and just slide the scroll down to lower the volume. Also the hot keys on the keyboard lets me pause and skip the next song on Spotify. CONS: Let me tell you, if youre gaming, DO NOT get this keyboard, or if you have to type a lot for work or school. The keys are sooooooo sensitive. While playing Call of Duty, my fingers on WASD and the tacticals (grenade/flashbang) are on QE, my finger on W will barely touch it the keys QE and it automatically presses it, causing me to throw my tactical. Also, me just typing this review with this keyboard, my fingers touch the key next to the letter I push down, causing typos, causing sentences to look like this, (This is my regview for this keytboard, thsese are the mistakes it makes withouht deleting the mistakesd.) I went to a gaming event in my city, and the keyboards they had were 100% better than this one, the buttons actually had to be pressed for it to register, not breathed on like this one it feels like. Again, if you want this just for the looks, I recommend it 100%, but if youre gaming or typing a lot for work or for school. Go ahead and get a different keyboard, or else you will be pulling your hair out with all the typos or misplays on games from the sensitive keys.

> 24 hourSo far I’m very happy with this keyboard. I first purchased another, compact rgb keyboard but I didn’t realize how heavily I rely on the number pad. Doh! I’m not a gamer but I bought an Alienware laptop for graphic work. This keyboard integrates seamlessly with the pre-installed command center so that was not an issue for me. The keyboard is SO much quieter than the other mechanical keyboard. It has such a soft, pleasant, tactile stroke, I almost wish for more work. I’m hoping for a type heavy project soon! On my desk, it sits behind my Wacom and the one doesn’t interfere with the other (but then I’ve been doing this for so many years, I may be subconsciously adjusting my hands). My work area is pretty dark so I’m grateful for the rgb lighting. It was easy to program- and I only change the color of the number keys from everything else. BIG CON: it has two (2) usb plugs!! It’s the only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5. Fortunately, I’ve just bought a good dock that supports 3 USB ports. The alienware m15 has 3 USB ports (I think), but I like my station to be portable without too much plugging and unplugging. Since I leave the keyboard (and big Wacom and big external monitor) at home, the docker is a saving grace. EDIT: changing to 5 stars. I didn’t realize there is an additional USB port on the keyboard and that is the reason for the additional plug. Love this! And I like Alienware. I’ve been using dell products for 15 years and I’m happy I discovered this in their lineup.

> 24 hourI like the feel of the key strokes and how responsive they are. The build quality of the keyboard is quite nice with little to no flex. The RGB is bright and programmable per key which is nice especially when setting it up for games so you can program groups of keys according to their use. The only thing that I would find nice instead of the volume control is if there was a dedicated power button on the keyboard itself the would work with an Alienware computer or just universal.

> 24 hourThe physical keyboard itself seems OK. I cant really use it though because the software to control the lighting is an absolute nightmare worse than any other software Ive ever had to install. The installer will say it installed fine, but there is no application to run, and nowhere to set the backlight color from anything but the default horrid blue. (Google for known issues with Alienware Command Center, there are tons of people with issues). I tried most of the tricks to get it working, but after 4 hours of messing with it, I gave up, put it back in the box, and will either send it back or find someone in my office who can live with the default blue and give it to them. I took a chance on this keyboard based on many online reviews, and if I could actually set the backlight to a soft white, Id likely rate it around 4 stars or so.

> 24 hourThis keyboard is amazing! Love it to death. Prior to this purchase I had a rather nice and expensive Razer mechanical keyboard. Dont get me wrong - Razer makes AWESOME products and all that but for my tastes A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD (NOT THIS KEYBOARD) IS TOO LOUD. FAR TOO LOUD. I type extremely fast and the clack clack clack of a mechanical keyboard sounds like tossing a ball bearing into a paper shredding. Dont ask me how I know. THIS keyboard has a shorter key stroke, quietly operating key engagement, on-keyboard volume control with mute, well lit keys and the standard layout that I, as a gamer, have come to expect. BUY THIS KEYBOARD NOW!!!! OMG I love this thing and Im not being paid or endorsed by anyone to leave this review. Seriously, I can type at 100+ wpm and still actually hear the video that Im watching. LOVE IT. Soooo smooth and looks amazing to boot. The only downside to it is that it does not come with a padded wrist rest which I come to expect with a keyboard of this price but I already have one and Im using it now. This does not take away from the rating of the keyboard itself, nor do I feel that it detracts from the value of this keyboard for the money. If you do not possess very good control of your typing (mainly in the form of intentional key strokes) then you will likely find this keyboard too sensitive. But I absolutely ADORE THIS KEYBOARD!!!

> 24 hourI bought this keyboard because Ive recently gotten back into gaming. There are no complaints about the keyboard itself so far. I find it very comfortable to type with/game with. The volume roller is super handy. The keys have a satisfying feel to them when pressed, they are spaced out comfortably and have a comfortable amount of travel. They dont sit too high like standard mechanical keys do ( in my opinion) My only complaint is that they use 2 USB ports. The new alienware laptops only come with 3 ports. So now youre down to 1 if youve got this keyboard. What about a mouse, external drive, charging cable for your phone or whatever! In its defense, I do have to say the build quality is awesome on the cord and the keyboard itself.
