Balanced friable stone, good for grinding high speed steel without burning or bluing. Perhaps a bit course than 80 grit as described.

It works but not a high quality wheel.

I wanted to replace one of the gray wheels on my grinder with a finer grit for finish grinding of my more expensive tools and knives. This stone is perfect for the job. The price was good as well. I am satisfied with the purchase.

After sharpening 2 bowl gouges the disk is so misshapen its useless to use for anything that requires precision.

The central arbor hole is not parallel to the sides of the stone. It shakes side to side in a big way. It cuts HSS tools OK, but is scary to use due to improperly bored hole.

Was a little difficult to center accurately, but much better than the Norton wheel that I bought at the same time.

Absolutely beyond being saved by dressing either with a dressing stick or Diamond dresser. It has been returned today for a refund. Note this fault is not uncommon with cheap grinding wheels? They are produced in large quantities without high levels of quality control? I bought a green silicone carbide wheel from same manufacturer/supplier that’s absolutely fine just required a light dressing. If you read other reviews you will see customers have same issues!
