1. Select the appropriate grinding wheel according to the material of the workpiece. Before installation, check the grinding wheel by sound and visual inspection. Do not use if any cracks or damage are found.
2. The base of the grinder must be fixed firmly, the machine without a fixed base will move, causing grinding and injury.
3. Both sides of the grinding wheel should be clamped with discs that hold the grinding wheel. The diameter of the disc should not be less than 1/3 of the outer diameter of the grinding wheel. The two discs should be flat and have the same diameter. Soft thick paper or insulating skin should be added between the disc and the grinding wheel to make the pressure even. The gap between the inner hole of the grinding wheel and the main shaft should not be too tight. Tighten the nut with equal and moderate force on both sides.
4. The protective cover used by the grinder should cover at least half of the diameter of the grinding wheel.
5. After the grinder is started, it must be idling for at least 2 minutes. When idling, the operator should stand in a safe position, and it is strictly forbidden to stand in front of the grinding wheel or in the tangential direction.
6. The direction of rotation of the grinder should be correct so that the abrasive chips can only fly downward from the grinding wheel. Grinding is performed after the grinder rotates steadily. If the machine jumps obviously, it should be stopped and repaired in time.
7. Do not use too much force in the initial grinding, so as to avoid accidents caused by uneven force on the grinding wheel. Two people are not allowed to sharpen the knife on the same grinding wheel at the same time.
8. It is strictly forbidden to use side grinding, and it is forbidden to grind copper, lead, wood, plastic and other items. In order to avoid damage to the grinding wheel. Knives that have been sharpened for a long time should be cooled in time to prevent hot hands
9. Regularly repair the surface balance of the grinding wheel. Store it properly after use, never knock it, keep the grinding wheel dry.
10. Wear personal protective equipment, masks, goggles, work caps, etc. during operation.
