> 3 dayThe ability to drill stopped counter sink holes is a game changer for me. Ive been working on making fine furniture, and one of the things that has been an issue for me is consistency with countersunk screw holes.

> 3 dayIf you need to drill countersinks, get this, it is fantastic. Consistent results, and the depth stop is on a bearing so it doesnt mar the surface.

> 3 dayIm so impressed! It drills and recesses a perfect hole every time and has not marred a single surface Ive drilled into. Stained wood painted wood unstained or unpainted wood has not left even a small indention! Now, of course, if you push down really hard, the catch collar will mark your workpiece slightly, but its pretty obvious that you shouldnt do that, but you wont find the need either. LOVE that its impact driver ready, too. It IS a tad pricey for sure, but man, is it fantastic. Still very sharp after 100s of holes drilled. 100% recommended. Hope this was helpful!

> 3 dayI have several countersink bits and this is, by far, the best one I have. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayI loved my Amana Tool - 55229 Carbide Tipped 82° Countersink with Adjustable Depth Stop, but only for a short while. Chalk it up to user error. What happened is the depth stop set screw flew out and the bit fell apart. I should have made sure it was tight and then checked it again after several uses. Unfortunately I lost the screw and in my anger threw out the whole bit. Oh well, live and learn. Im ordering another and this time Ill make sure its tight. The performance, for the short time I had it was typical with what youd expect from Amana Tools. Easy to set up and use, minimal marks left behind by the depth stop.

Greater than one weekWorks perfectly. New favorite go to countersink. The angles are good and it is quick and easy to use. If you are having marks after using it. 1. Use it a few times on scrap wood to get the bearing to open up a bit and smooth out. 2. I found you are best to go quick with the drilling. You need to have firm pressure and speed to have it stop the outer shell quickly.

> 3 dayI have wanted this Amana Tool 55227 countersink bit for a long time. I started using it right after it was delivered. This is exactly what I expected. My first few holes were perfect. I know I am going to enjoy adding this to my toolbox. If you need a countersink bit this is the one.

> 3 dayI’ve seen YouTube woodworkers using these, and decided to try one. It’s so much better than those other combo bits. The stop that’s attached makes it much easier, and it spins on its own so I doesn’t destroy your wood. I would like the actual drill bit to be longer, but I will probably just replace that.

15-04-2025A bit pricey, but it does work, It functions as a depth stop. A valuable addition to your tool box for hard woods. you will have to adjust the way you use it on softwoods, simply because it is a softwood.
