Im using this case with the Seagate Backup Plus 5TB Portable Hard Drive. The biggest concern, complaint, and praise I see about any hard drive case is the fit. Portable hard drives vary in size and proportion. So, some fit well in a particular case, and others fit terribly. For this case and this hard drive, the fit is just right. A little headroom, meaning the case is a little longer than the drive, but its not enough to allow the drive the rattle around. The inside depth is just right to hold the drive securely and house a coiled USB 3 cable.

Your basic case, will fit two drives if necessary and fix this one perfectly as well as all others I have used it for. Very sturdy with great protection!!

Its semihard, it zips, it has a little pocket to store the USB cable, and it fits a 3.5 external HDD.

Well padded - it should protect the drive in a drop - not sure I would run over drive with car - but normal drops it should protect drive.

Device fits perfect and is compact

Fits the Western Digital My Passport Ultra external hard drive. Holds the hard drive firmly in place so that it doesnt slide around in the case and even has a fishnet for holding the USB cable. All in all, it fulfills what its supposed to do and does it for a great price.

I really like this item. When opened, one side has a pocket, and the other side has a protective band like thing. When not in use, I put the drive in the pocket, and have the cable held quite efficiently behind the band. The case is hard enough to protect your items, but is covered by a durable cloth that is nice to the touch.

Nice case for a portable disk drive (My Passport)

Nice case, I use it to store my Rhode lav microphone, an old IPhone 4 and a few associated cables. I might buy another one for a USB battery backup case too. Its simple, solid and convenient.
