If you are planning to use this for cpu intensive stuff then you should go with a 2700x which is similarly priced but it has eights cores if you need them. Also I would HIGHLY recommend getting a good cooler to overclock so you can squeeze out every bit of performance.

Bought this ryzen after doing an exhaustive search between amd and intel. Awesome bang for the buck! 6 cores, twelve threads, scored a 1265 on cinebench r15 with no overclock. Easily managed to overclock to 4ghrz on all cores with liquid cooling very easily. Paired it with an msi b450 tomahawk. Amd store mi is a little weird to get running good but overall it is probably the best bang for the dollar at this moment. We will see when ryzen 3000 series comes out.

This CPU has handled everything Ive thrown at it so far. 4K Video rendering, 1440P Gaming with triple A titles, streaming lightly on twitch. Im extremely impressed and happy with my purchase and very glad I didnt go with an Intel equivalent because Id be lagging behind if I did. My PC tears through everything! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY
