AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT 6-core, 12-threads unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Spire cooler

No Idea why warmth and thickness is a rating but whatever, bought this because I couldn’t find a 3600, thus I bought this. Great but will thermally soak most coolers on the market, buy a decent cooler or aio and it will work great.

Finally upgraded from my FX-8350 8 core (really 4 core) machine. WOW! This thing is fast. Im not a gamer, so I wasnt interested in a high end (and high dollar) processor, however, it is worth spending a little more than basic money to get the Ryzen 5 3600XT. Performance is excellent. Benchmarked ad 98% plus. Now... if itll give me six years of flawless performance like my last AMD build did, Ill be happy.

When this first launched it was a good bit more expensive than the 3600/X, making it not worth the cost. But now it is only marginally more expensive, making it totally worth it, imo.

But from my research it was within specs. 50-80C, idle to gaming. Added this fan:

if you want to take the risk of not being able to return this then go ahead and buy it but i have tried to return this for a couple weeks and they have not even tried to help me get it to them. no refund

Bought this for my first build to replace an old Lenovo K450e, which Ive been using for work and gaming. I decided to go the AMD route after watching a lot of PC-building videos on YouTube. I wasnt disappointed and would recommend this CPU or maybe even a Ryzen 7 or 9, but those are a little pricey.

Good price as always for AMD but the included CPU is not going to be handle over locking by very much. I would strongly consider buying a better cooler when you order this and save the stock cooler, Wraith Spire, as a backup. My idle temp were often time in the high 50C and seen several times low 80s under load.
