    Best deal for AMD CPU

I was originally shopping for a 3600 or 3600X, but the supply dried up by the time I was buying my parts. However, I think I ended up lucking out because I got the 3600 XT for less than the $249 MSRP. The reviews Ive seen have been a bit mixed about the cpu, but I think its a great sweet spot giving you enough cores for good productivity work and great single core boost to support gaming and other single threaded / spikey tasks. Theres also a lot of overclocking potential with this cpu. I have mine stable at 4.4 GHz, but I think I can probably get it up to 4.5 GHZ with a bit more tinkering. My motherboard (MSI Gaming Plus) is not ideal for OC either. The cpu itself is a great overlocker and lots of folks are comfortably running this at 4.6 GHz with relatively low voltage. If you can get this on a good sale and arent looking for the latest 5000 series cpus, then I would recommend grabbing this one. Its a fantastic cpu that I would use again in future builds.

Works great for the games I play which mostly is World of Warcraft. I have a 60hz monitor so zero issues in any content.

But from my research it was within specs. 50-80C, idle to gaming. Added this fan:

I give the CPU 5 stars in itself. Its blazing fast. I put the Ryzen 7 3rd gen in the PC I built for my dad and you can hardly tell a difference.

I used this in a recent build for someone who is getting into video editing and not able to afford the Ryzen 9 3900X or 3950X. I paired this with an ASUS Crosshair VII X470 Motherboard, and this baby did fly. I think I saw peak core CPU frequency hit 4.6 Ghz. on air, so yes, it cooks fine. Of course this CPU is great for gaming too, or anything else you want to work on. The XT value proposition is debatable, but you do get a little extra bump in speed without the extra bump in heat. If speed equals money on a professional basis, then this is well worth it. This was a fun CPU to check out.

The AMD 5600X I can not get. This CPU is just as fast!

Purchased this for my first computer build in about 10 years. Very happy with the increased performance. Purchased this alongside a micro-atx 450 motherboard, 32 GB of ram, 500 gb NVme2 ssd. I use it for both business and gaming and I have been very satisfied with the results.
