This is an AMD processor and the fan is labeled AMD but there was no mounting hardware and the cooler looks like the kind used with an Intel processor. So, The cooler is useless for this processor.

This is a great processor, but the shipping time was excessive. Waited two weeks for my cpu which is unacceptable.

I was getting frustrated by the on board graphics in my 2400G. I had upgraded to a 4k monitor and just day to day tasks were making it choke. (Freecell and Mah Jong Titans are my familys gaming) I was actually shopping for a lower end video card, but this upgrade processor also passed the Win 11 upgrade test, for roughly the same price. We can stream 4k TV and movies or do light photo editing in 4k without issue.

The 5600G is a solid choice for those that need an iGPU or that dont mind only having a PCIv3 system. Keep in mind that even if your mainboard supports v4 this is only PCIv3. Which means even newer GPUs or NVME drives will top out at gen 3 speeds. However, this is hardly going to be noticeable in most situations. Please also remember that Ryzen runs better with ram in dual channel (IE memory in pairs) running in single channel really hurts performance.

This is a speedy CPU that is likely going to do everything that you need in most cases. I have standardized on it for any PCs I build for friends businesses or family. Also for my home server that runs Plex and a file server. Even if you game at 1080p resolution this will play a lot of games decently at moderate quality settings though if you do intend on primarily playing games you may want this CPUs big brother 5700G which is probably a bit better suited for your needs. You can always add a graphics card down the road to your PC build if this internal video is not enough for you.
