for real i have used the same pc for the last 20 years and just now replaced it. it was a 6 core fx6300 and wanting this same amount of time i knew i needed to go higher on the core count. this thing compared to what i was using is night and day. of course it is faster wasnt a question but the work loads? i have pounded on this cpu running multiple programs ect. hasnt even been close to overheating with the stock cooler. of course i dont overclock to stress it that way so my feelings about this cpu?

Soy AMD user desde que cambié mi pentium II por un Athlon XP por allá de 99, así que he pasado por toda la gama e historia de AMD (incluso tuve varios años el objeto mas caliente conocido por el hombre, el FX 8350 Black edition) este es reemplazo de un 1700x y la diferencia es increíble por el precio, lo tengo con Kraken x42 y nunca llega a 70 grados o siquiera al 80% de la capacidad, mi uso es home studio (audio, con el 1700x exportaba 3 minutos de audio a 7x, ahora todo es arriba de 10-11x, incluso con efectos, video exporta en 3:30 minutos en 1080 en 2 minutos o menos, con el 1700x era entre 3-4 minutos), en videojuegos a 2060x14000 (witcher 3, mass effect andrómedaa) no llega a 75% creánme cuando les digo que es muy poderoso, consideré en algún momento un 3900x pero este esta sobrado para lo que lo uso, la imagen es en uso normal (Firefox 70 pestañas, 12 PDFs con abrobat, word, powerpoint y vlc reproduciendo música) y vean el uso y temperaturas en un NZXT Elite que se supone tiene broncas de temperatura, es una bestia de procesador

Upgraded from the 1800x and I noticed a difference in windows and gaming right away. 3700x is a beast. Works perfect on Asus x370 crosshair vi hero

Ryzen chips are designed to maximise performance by boosting to utilise any available thermal overhead. If your CPU is within normal thermal operating temperatures, it will up the voltage while boosting thereby increasing the heat. Once the CPU reaches a certain temperature, it will start throttling to insure it remains within a safe operating temperature.
