AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

A replacement for my six year old gaming computer Intel Core i5-4670K. After many years an Intel champion the temptation of an 8-core, 12 thread 65W CPU was too much and I stumped up the £300+ for this sublime bit of silicon. Benefits are I didnt need an expensive motherboard (Asrock B450M R4 for £53) plus using the supplied for free Wraith Prism cooler. Job done. Nice gold coloured case with a bit of RGB bling and Im good to go.

I was expecting it to be quicker, It starts up a bit slower than my Intel PC, but once started its okay. I have a WD Black 2280 card installed & 32 gb of ram running at 3600 mhz. So as you can see I thought it would be faster!.

Used this in my computer build running with a Gigabyte X570 Elite MB. At this time I have is overclocked to 4Ghz and it runs very stable. Very fast benchmarks for this type of money. Over all this whole build it over the 90% mark for the world computers.

Il processore funziona bene. Con il dissipatore di serie la temperatura sta tra i 60 e i 70 gradi.

Great CPU for the power and speed.

Summary:

I purchased this cpu in December 2019 for £300. I also checked out gaming and productivity benchmarks and the 3700X apparently beat my 1920X by a fairly decent margin.
