AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

Fast, fairly quiet, good value. This is a great CPU. I picked it up for a slight discount around Black Friday weekend. The included HSF is reasonably quiet until you max out all the cores, and even then it really isn’t bad. The install was mostly ok but mine arrived with the CPU firmly wedged into the plastic carrier. The pins were bent due to the packaging or I bent them when struggling to get it out. Either way, it was mostly annoying but a little scary bending pins on a several hundred dollar CPU.

Ok ya, its 1 start because Amazon wont send the promo codes for Borderlands 3 and The Outer Worlds, but they will send 3 months of Xbox game pass. Ive chatted and spoken on the phone with support (9 people at this point) and they all seem to have no idea that Ive talked to them before - or that theyre supposed to be responsible to send the game codes despite them sending the GamePass one. Very frustrating.

This thing runs well, and at expected temps and speed. However, the included cooler, although pretty, is louder than my PS4. Holy cow. Even at mid 60s it is running full blast and I can hear it from the other side of town it seems. Definitely investing in a quieter cooler.

This is awful service! The box was already open, the seal was broken and the CPU was missing from the box. The only thing in the box was a cooler. Arranged a return, I hope I get my money back!

Great specs, but came in damged

Managed to grab a 6900XT for retail but my Ryzen 1700 was holding it back causing stutters, got this and PC runs fantastic and also ready for Windows 11 as the 1700 was not supported, installed on an MSI Gaming Pro B350 after Bios update.

Online reviews are all over the place on this one, but it just is high quality silicon.
