Finally upgraded my PC after 8 years and wow what a difference! I joined the fight against COVID-19 by folding@home and went from tahing 18-22 hours per unit down to 18 minutes with this 12 core 2r thread beauty.

Absolutely the most remarkable CPU Ive ever owned. Puts semi recent Xeons to shame even. I undervolted it to 1.1V cap and its performing just...so well. 55C at full load with stock cooler, 100W.

pros

The CPU I received was defective and did work in the PC. I had the product tested at Best Buy who said that it definitely did not work, that there were no broken pins, and that the issue was not my fault. They advised me to get a refund asap, so we will see how that goes.

I open many programs and windows and it doesnt slow down! big cache helps a lot, adjust your budget to get the fastest ram. Virtualization powerhouse. Ill try to run simulations using Wien2k, still waiting for my new mobo to arrive sold the old Asus x370 prime pro, after bios update it worked without issues.
