AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

Seal on package was broken upon arrival. Processor had thermal paste smeared all over it. It looked used to me. Returned immediately. It doesn’t look like I was the first to experience this either. Be forewarned.

This CPU is an absolute beast. There is nothing it cant handle. Have mine paired with a Asus strix 2070S and 32gb 3600 ram and a 1tb Sabrent Rocket 4.0 ssd and I get crazy high FPS in everything I play while running discord, OBS, video chatting, and streaming. I am using the stock wraith prism cooler which so far has proven sufficient. My idle temps range 45 to 55 C* and on benchmarks or ultra settings 1440p gaming 55 to 74* C. I am very happy with my purchase. Intel doesnt stand a chance.

I got this on sale (<$600 CDN). I installed it in an aorus x570 master. Great setup so far. So far I have only adjusted RAM timings - not using PBO but I am very happy with the performance.

10年ぶりにPC自作。Ryzen 9 3900X　3.8GHz　12コア / 24スレッド。

Chip was great, made my gaming pc fast and stable. Came with a cool fan, which I can’t comment on as I did not yet install it - my previous one was good as is.

My first time going with AMD again for over 14 years as I usually stick with Intel. AMD is way ahead of the game and after reading various independent reviews they recommended AMD over Intel. Very pleased with the CPU. Incredibly fast and for the price it’s brilliant compared to Intel. Easy to install but AMD chips do run hotter so best to invest in a really good airflow cooler or water cooling to get the best from this chip. As you can see in my photo I went with a recommended air cooler from another customer off here and it’s massive!!! I didn’t install the cooler which came with the CPU. The new airflow heatsink does an incredible job in keeping the CPU under 50’C for most of the time. If you are debating whether or not to go with Intel or AMD I would seriously recommend AMD.
