Greater than one weekThis chip sure does perform excellent for the price. Gets 1730 on cinebench with ram speed 2133mhz , with all stock settings no overclock or anything. Just to note Im using a custom loop for cooling in my itx build. But after playing around in the bios I managed to get my chip to 4.2ghz (@1.375 v) and my ram to 3200 with xmp profile and managed to change the ram timings to cl15 15-15-15-35 from cl16 16-18-18-38. All 100% stable on b350 gigabyte itx board. Managed to get 1900 on cinebench after the oc. I could not however get 4.3 GHz stable without pushing voltage over 1.45 so I stopped there and went back. Temps never get over 65c even after gaming or benchmarks.

> 3 dayIve installed 2 of these into my system both of which have come faulty. Im realtively tech savy and am not incompotent on how to install a cpu as ive made a few pcs. However i have more them enough power on my psu with a 850 watt and i am running a tomohawk b450 max with 32 gb of ram and and 1650 which i have checked are all compatible together. Im ordering a 3RD ryzen 9 which i hope to properly post and work which will change my 2 star review. This has been a slightly annoying process but i hope to recieve a working cpu this time.

> 3 dayThis is my latest review. The boot loop was not due to this motherboard. It was due to AMD 3900X CPU that went faulty. I checked my Antec 750W Power supply, Corsair LPX 16 x 4 = 64 GB DDR4 RAM, 1 TB NVMe Sabrent storage & GeForce GPU on my spare Intel Core i7 based MSI motherboard. They worked just fine. Remaining was just this motherboard and AMD CPU. So I got my friends AMD Ryzen 9 CPU on this motherboard. It worked just fine. I google searched for AMD RMA form, filled it and emailed them with all the above actions I took to validate that my CPU may be faulty. AMD responded over email in a weeks time, then I parceled it to them on given address. I parceled the entire CPU box with Wraith cooler and packaged it properly with bubble paper and Tape. I received my new 3900X CPU in another week. It took 3 weeks but now its working fine. Moral of the story is that Boot Loop Cursor on screen is due to faulty CPU.

03-06-2025Man, I wanted to ball on some pricey hardware for my rebuild and boy do I not regret this purchase. Its a very strong CPU. Considering my last build was an original AMD 8 Core Bulldozer CPU, its nice to step into a CPU launch thats actually extremely good in about every category. Go AMD!
