AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

Great upgrade from my 4790k. Mainly run simulations like CFD and FEA than gaming and it runs them so quickly. Think I got very lucky with the cpu as I can run it at 4.3ghz all core @ 1.3v with a asus x570 e motherboard. Cant recommend this cpu enough.

Im going to be honest. I usually blindly follow the Intel brand, granted for good reason (it works), but Ive been hearing how AMD has been catching up and even surpassing Intel in some regards. Im upgrading from Intels i7 3770k. And the performance boost is clear as day especially when paired with the fact that Im upgrading my RAM from DDR3 to DDR4 at the same time. (It has been a while.)

All jokes aside, this is an amazing little piece of technology that AMD brought to us. While it does run hot with the stock cooler, people who have used AMD in the past will know that 80c is nothing for an AMD. I’m still not comfortable with the temps though, hence why I opted to get a Scythe Ninja 5 that barely fits my case to help cool down temps a bit.

A bit disappointed that it dropped in price 1 day after I ordered it, but it is what it is. It works, but never really reaches anything above 4.5 GHz (even with NH-D15), so thats a shame, however, the performance is just great, so its no big deal for me.

Che dire sotto i 450 € questo processore per le prestazioni che offre è davvero un ottima soluzione. Ho cambiato il mio vecchio processore amd Fx con questo ryzen 3900x e la differenza è davvero sorprendente sia sul gaming che in ambito lavorativo (rendering e editing).

Easy to install, there are lots of boards for it, at 600$ its a great buy !

This motherboard has a weird issue. One day the whole system turned off and would not turn on. I was sure the motherboard was dead, removing the cmos battery and then turning on the system worked. Cant imagine someone without a lot of tech knowledge to know what to do.

Even if not planning extreme overclocking, in my opinion, a water cooling system is necessary to maintain the processor in a good temperature range.

The processor is beyond belief. Well above expectations. The X570 mother board makes a perfect match.
