American Casino Guide - 2010 Edition

I have been using the American Casino Guide for years and have saved megabucks. There are many buy one get one free restaurants throughout the country at various casinos as well as the majority of coupons for Las Vegas. Having used this book every year, I can tell you the best of the best in places that you would never think of going. It is very helpful and imperative that you have a car to use the book. It could get very costly if you had to take public transportation or taxis. We have found that one of the best buffets in Las Vegas is the Saturday or Sunday Brunch at the Silverton where you have a buy one get one coupon. In two words, buy it!!

This book is still a good source of infomation on the casinos in the USA but the coupon section has really gotten thin over the last edition and the coupons are not as good. If you buy this book for the coupons every year, you may want to rethink purchasing for this year.

I bought the 2011 model. Much like the other reviews, the thing pays for itself relatively quickly. Won some serious cash on free slot play so it really paid for me. I recommend it. Not as hard as you would think to use. You need to show a little courage when using the match play. Do not lose the card in the book!

I purchased 2 of these books for our July trip to Vegas because there were 4 of us. There are many coupons in here. We did not use that many but I still felt it was worth it. The problem is that many of the free play coupons are for new sign ups and I already have player cards at most of the casinos. We did like the coupon for the Rio buffet and if you dont have a Venetian player card that coupon is great. Many of the coupons are for off strip so be aware of that.

This is a must if you are going to Vegas. We had a lot of fun running around Vegas using the match play coupons and came out way ahead playing them. Even if you only use a couple of coupons it way more than pays for itself! Get it!

For the last 5 years Ive made a habit of traveling to Las Vegas a couple times a year. When it comes to travel for me its all about getting the most bang for my buck. At first I was understandably a little reluctant to shell out the money for a book full of coupons to a place I was only going to spend a week of the year at however after researching the coupons found in the book (you can get a complete listing at [..] I decided that it would easily pay for itself. Boy did it ever. If you like to casino hop like I do just the matchplays and the free play coupons make this a more then worthwhile purchase. This is in addition to all the great buy one get one free buffets and meals at varius casino restraunts (many of the places will even let you use them on their specials - I went to the Diner at the Golden Gate and they allowed me to use their buy one get one free on their prime rib special - 7 [..] for 2 prime rib dinners with the works... talk about a deal !) Other features in the book such as basic overviews on different casino games, a pretty good map of casinos on the strip, near the strip, and downtown along with contact info for each casino and other details are also pretty helpful. Ive already ordered my copy for 09 and will continue to do so for each subsequent year that I take a trip to Vegas. This is a great purchase.

I bought a copy for myself and one for my wife and we both went to all the casinos in Vegas to use the free slot play and match play coupons. We made a game of it to see how much free money we could get from the coupons. Venetian - the $25 free slot play for new members was definitely the best. We cashed all of our tickets and made $14 each on $25 free slot play. Thats free money just for signing up. Sahara - the $25 match play was definitely the best deal. We both put $25 on the pass line and the point was 4. We lost, but it was fun, and it would have been cool if the 4 had hit since we placed odds. Palms, Vegas Club, Golden Gate, Tuscany - Hit match plays on either roulette or craps. Palms - my wife hit a $25 spin on $10 free slot play, cashed out. Free money. Vegas Club - I hit a $20 spin on $5 free slot play. Free money El Cortez - I totaled $30 on multiple spins on $5 free slot play. Free money Ellis Island - I felt bad using the 4 free drinks on microbrews that only cost $1.75. But hey, 4 free beers is 4 free beers. All in all, the coupons were great, and the casinos were very receptive to us using them. Just check with each club desk to see how match plays should be used because each casino is different.

I mostly bought this for the coupons which I will put to good use on my upcoming trip to Vegas. Roughly $200 in match play coupons for the strip and downtown casinos. With some good luck the book will pay for itself quickly! Also some great food and drink coupons for Vegas casinos. Ive heard some reviews that mention some casinos not accepting the coupons, so I will update my review once Ive tried using them. The only complaint I have is that the coupons arent perforated. It took me nearly an hour to cut them all out.

We figure we saved over $200 on our January trip to LV by using this book. My husband loves buffets but I dont feel their worth the money. So by using this books two for one coupons he gets to eat what he likes and I get to save some money on food. I plan on buying a book for every trip.
