American Marine PINPOINT pH Probe

Soaking solution had dried out when I received it. Packaged very poorly.

This pen looks like it has broke on me already. I dont want to wait 10 min to see if that fixes it. Right now after 2 min in 7.0 solution, Im showing a reading of 11.2!@# I put in 4.0 solution for a cpl min, and Im getting a 1.1 reading...wtf!~@! Complete waist of money this pen was. Stick with bluelabs pen!

I chosed this probe based on recommendations on the net, but accurancy and reliability are not there. This probe is very sensitive to salt content in the water of my pool and I had to prepare sampling solutions with water of my pool to be able to use my PH control device with this probre. I am not so confident with it and I am afrain with reliability!

After shopping for a replacement PH sensor for my old Polaris Watermatic C-600 ORP/pH Controller and finding the going price around $200, I decided to give this probe a shot. It works perfectly and I am once again able to calibrate the controller. Physically the probe may be slightly smaller in diameter as I had some trouble getting a good seal. It did arrive loose in a box without any packing material, but because of its weight and the 10 of lead I dont think it moved around much. The tip of the probe was in a vial of solution as it should be.

PINPOINT. This is my go to replacement brand sensor for my reef tank monitoring system. Have used many over the years. Very reliable, high value.

Needed a new probe. Got a new probe. Its a perfect probe. Long cable is a plus - blue is a plus - plants are happy and the aquarist is happy.

Works perfectly with my BlueLab combo meter and at half the price too!

Piece of garbage will not calibrate. With the 7 solution I can not even turn the dial enough to get it past 6. Waste of money

Writing this review after 1 year of use. So far is has worked great and is a good value. I have it working with the Atlas Scientific board in my Reef-Pi setup. The much more expensive Atlas probe died after 1 year and was not as accurate. So I would buy this again in future.
