Purchased this item for my child who is a popular gamer. These were a must have and EXTREMELY hard to find. Not happy at all at the over expensive price took 2 stars off for that. But my child really wanted this for her birthday .....so I had to make her dreams comes true. Works for the nintendo switch perfectly.

No discernible difference between the Japanese and American Amiibo other than packaging. At the time of this review, the price of this particular listing was on par if not cheaper than the MSRP on brand new individual Amiibo. Fairly new to Amiibo myself, so I cannot speak for older games, but as far as Splatoon 2 goes youll get exclusive gear from Callie and Marie. First scan will get you the first piece of gear to the set that each gives. Once you level up a bit, rescan for the rest of the gear plus two additional songs from the original Splatoon for the sound test (Bomb Rush Blush/Tide Goes Out) Additionally, any Splatoon Amiibo can save gear loadouts and let you equip them straight from the multiplayer menu. Not a major game changing feature, but useful and time saving if you keep separate loadouts for each particular ranked mode.

Ive held off buying the Callie and Marie amiibos for a long time now, being deterred by the high price for them brand new. But Im really glad I considered buying pre-owned!! The amiibos were well packaged and had very little wear on them (a few minor scratches on the base, but nothing that took away from the figures themselves), and worked perfectly when I paired them with my Switch! Shipping was really fast too, and I saved a ton of money buying them pre-owned. My Splatoon amiibo collection is now complete with the addition of these two (minus the color variants of the inklings from the first Splatoon)! Its wild how expensive these amiibos are nowadays, but Im really grateful to have found them used at a lower price, and in incredible condition. As for the amiibos themselves, the quality really shines through alongside the other amiibos in my collection. I enjoyed the details on these ones a lot too, especially the glittery plastic(?) used for each figures respective costume. Theyre also very neatly painted, everything lines up well. Very, very happy with these.
