> 3 dayI specifically chose this kit because it says the cable is stainless steel. My cable has rusted in several locations after ~18 months. If this happens in arid California I hate to think what happens in areas of the country with more rain.

> 3 dayDon’t go cheap. I went this route thinking all cable was the same. Big mistake. 3 if 5 individual lines all broke. I used a crimp tool and they all would slip off. So then I crimped twice, causing it to break. Went with Niger from local hardware stores and has been holding up.

Greater than one weekFine kit and all, but did not come with the necessary cable clamps, so I had to buy those separately even though it clearly states they would be in there.

> 3 dayThis kit is great. Way less expensive than if you bought all the parts individually and the wire alone makes it worth the buy. Got my lights hung up and have plenty for my second string when the time comes.

> 3 dayHung up outdoor lights with this cable kit. I didnt need instructions, I just figured it out in about 10 minutes time. All parts are sturdy and the install was fairly simple. The cable didnt fray when I cut it and the clamps are holding after about 2 months in the Vegas wind. I installed 2 eyelits to the house and ran cables from each of the eyelits to an 8 foot pole that I attached to my backyard wall. No issues at all. The lights I strung up are pretty hefty and weigh about 20 pounds per string, I currently have 3 sets of these lights strung around the cabling, so the cables can hold some weight for a long period of time. Everything about this kit was perfect for what I needed it for.

> 3 dayMy wife wanted bistro lights in our yard. This kit has everything you need to install wire to hang lights on. The wire is coated with plastic, there are ample connectors, turnbuckles, carabiners, and instructions to make installation a breeze. Highly recommended if you’re lighting up your yard!

22-11-2024I love the end result (though admittedly, my lights have been up for only three days now). The guy wires certainly provide a stronger attachment point for the lights and the hardware provides good anchor points on the house and garage. The mix of hardware was helpful, too, particularly the turnbuckle style hook and screw. That allowed more refined adjustment/tightening. So, why did I give this four stars and not five? Because the hardware that allows the user to create a loop at the end of the wire has holes that are BARELY able to allow the wire to pass through. What could have taken me a fraction of the time turned into a laborious, somewhat painful process of trying to thread the coated wire through one hole, pull it far enough through to allow it to double back and go into the second hole and pull THAT through far enough to tighten and clamp it off with the screws on either end of the unit. If the holes had been just a TINY bit larger, the coated wire would have passed through easily AND the screws on the ends would still have created a secure clamp that would have held everything in place. Thank goodness I only had to make two loops. Im planning to add a little more wire around a covered porch, but I dont look forward to having to tie off the ends of the wire with the included hardware. It didnt have to be such a pain in the neck (and fingers)!
