    With everything switching to USB-C, these converters are an essential tool to have. I use them when connecting to old external hard drives and for connecting usb sticks to use on 3D printers and CNC machines at my school. They’re portable, and easily fit inside a backpack pocket and the quality feels amazing. It’s metal and sturdy and it’s just a secure fit.

    The female connector is about 4 mm too shallow. Thus, the male USB-A connector of the device being adapted sticks out about that much. Not a showstopper but it could have been designed better. Anker products are typically above average, but not this one.
