Love these little adapters! I didn’t know how much I needed these until I forgot this set at home one day while I was at work. At work, we recently switched from using laptops that have USB ports to USB-C ports. The conundrum is that most of the connectors we already have for headphones with microphones, light rings, and power ball noises utilize USB. These are so easy to use. The only downside is they’re so little I’ve lost them a number of times but eventually found them. I thought about purchasing more but I’m trying to scale back on purchases. For now, I’ll store these in their plastic cardboard case in the same place so I know where they are. Great purchase that I use daily!

These adapters will save you a ton of money if, like me, you have recently upgraded to a new Macbook Pro from a much older computer. With these, you can still use your old USB peripherals (thumb drives, external hard drives, corded keyboards, and the like) and not have to buy all new hardware. I use one in conjunction with my old 4 port adapter to aid with cable management and keep my desktop neater in addition to connecting ALL of my peripherals on just one port.

These adapters are well made and work fine on my MacBook Air for connecting standard USB devices. I have used them with a flash drive, external backup hard drive and a USB receiver for a mouse. The squared off sides on the adapter make it possible to fit two of them side by side in the MacBook USB-C ports at the same time, if needed. I also like that they have a small blue LED that illuminates to show the adapter is powered.

Using these with my 2021 Macbook Pro to power my graphics tablet and ring light. The graphics tablet charges at the same rate as plugging it directly into my old computer, and theres no flickering from the ring light. This is a great solution for those who dont want a clunky dongle or who, like me, only have a few devices that arent USB-C compatible.

I own an HP Spectre x360, and I plug a lot into the USB ports. The thing is, theres only one USB-A port. All the rest are USB-C. And dont get me wrong, I love how USB-C is becoming the new standard, its a nice connection. But Im not ready to upgrade my peripherals yet. This came to save the day! One of the female connections of the adapters is a wee bit tight, but with enough effort it can be pried apart, and since the other adapter is fine, Im assuming it was just a quality issue with one of my adapters. If you own a laptop or computer that now has USB-C instead of USB-A, this is for you.
