Anti-theft Classic Essential Messenger Bag, Nutmeg

I needed a purse with a built in wallet that was still decently cute, and this one is perfect. I had a purse that closed with button snaps that ripped off and I love that this has zippers instead.

Nice size bag, good price - BUT - bag received is not the one pictured. What I got was probably an earlier version, maybe a reject, with an ugly strap buckle and two safety clasps at both ends of the top zipper (like, you want to secure it open?). Also, interior is different from the Travelon Essential Messenger bag I purchased online at another site. Ill keep the bag but not happy with the false advertising. On second thought, its going back.

Really surprised, wasn’t sure what to expect with anti-slash proof, but I am enjoying my the extra security features, and it is the perfect size for when I go out, travel, etc.

Beautiful cranberry color. I had this purse before in purple and absolutely loved it. So handy, it fits all I need for a day trip. I always take a 32 oz water bottle with me wherever I go and it fits in this purse fully zipped! I’ve taken it to Asia, Africa, Europe, India, Central and South America! Never pick pocketed (knock on wood). I’ve washed it a few times and thus ruined the rfd pocket protection but the purse itself is very sturdy and well-made. I used it as my everyday purse as well because I’m not picky about brand names or aesthetics :) Practicality is my motto and this purse fits it to the T!

Just arrived. Havent traveled with it yet, but it seems very travel worthy. My wife likes the look. We will see how it holds up during travel.

Multiple security features for traveling. The bag is designed to be held close to your body. Inside zipper compartments would be next to impossible for a pick pocket to steal. You can keep passport, other ID and money in the inside double zipped compartments. You can then use an outside zippered pocket for small bills, thus protecting your big stash in the zippered inside compartments.

Bought this in the Taupe color for an upcoming 7 wk Europe trip. Although I will mostly be using my Osprey backpack for hiking & everyday stuff I wanted something that would transition to evening & more refined(?) side trips. This bag does it. Plenty of space for absolute essentials with the knowledge that my personal items are secure. I really like the fact that the shoulder strap can be short or very long depending on ones preference. Couldnt be more pleased

I felt secure from pickpockets in Italy. Great style, side pockets are helpful. Well made, great fabric. I hope Travelon will add a comfort shoulder pad on the strap.

I bought it for travel but since the trip did not switch everything back to my everyday purse. It is very light and roomy and I have had two people ask where I purchased it. I hope there will be a larger select of colors in the future.

I used this bag in a trip to Rome. I found the bag to be very durable and well priced for the anti-theft protection. It does have many pockets which is good but if you are not so organized like myself then you could get a little panicky when you forget which pocket you put your belongings in. Otherwise I had no issues with this bag I would definitely recommend.
