API Replacement Test Tubes for Aquarium Test Kits 6 Pack Bundle

Theyre a bit expensive for small test tubes but I dont mind paying a little more for quality. Unfortunately they were not in an kind of store box, just the shipping box and bubble wrap. The bubble wrap pouch that they came in didnt stop one of the tubes from getting chipped. Its not worth the time to drive out of my way to a ups to replace them because of one chip. Wish they had better packaging, then it would be a 5 star.

Why do i pay $10 for 6 tubes if the whole kit cost $20 with 5 new tubes. This is insane, especially reviews like must have maybe brain?

Exactly the same as original API tubes

First of all, the tubes were shipped from Amazon with NO padding, so 2 of the 6 were shattered and a third was cracked. I really needed more tubes for water testing so I kept the remaining 3. The glass seems thinner than the tubes that came with the Master Test Kit, so I am not convinced these are real Api test tubes. And just now I was testing my aquarium water, I went to remove the cap from one of the test tubes so I could add the second nitrate test solution, and the test tube shattered in my hand. It sent shards of broken glass all over my kitchen, and the test solution left a big yellow stain on my kitchen counter. Luckily there was only one piece of glass embedded in my hand and I was able to remove it without much difficulty.

They seem sturdier than the original ones included with water testing kit. A great deal, considering the alternative is buying a whole new test kit. I was worried about them surviving the shipping process, but they arrived completely intact.

I broke a test tube from the original API Test Kit. So I ordered these. I was surprised that the lids on these fit much better than the originals. Now there is no fear of getting covered with water and chemicals while shaking a test tube!

I thought they would come in a box like the picture showed but instead they came in a plastic bag. The box just would have been more convenient to store them. But they are the exact tubes that come with your api test kit.

I honestly cant even tell the difference between the original and replacement tubes. The picture is me using them while testing my cycling tank.
