Not a bad sponge filter, but if you want to add an air-stone to increase the lift (and filtering power), it requires a lot of modification. Aquarium coop has ones that are air-stone friendly filters that are the same price. Cuts down on the noise from huge bubbles, and dramatically increases the filtration.

Working better than the HOB filter it replaced on my 10 gallon. Have to clean it once a month but its very easy to do.

We have multiple fish tanks. My boyfriend says once you get them water logged they are really good. He says they are easy to put back together even when you take them apart to clean them.
