I have 2 tanks - 10 gal and a 20 gal - with hang on back filter units. They are the store brand so you can only get the replacements from one place. They are kind of expensive and not always in stock. This roll costs the same as a box of 6 for one tank. So far I have cut 3 pieces from it (2 for the 10g and 1 for the 20g) and have TONS left. It will definitely last me a while and is going to be MUCH cheaper long term. AND, the 10g tank that I put it in as a trial seemed to stay crystal clear while the filter pad got incredibly green. Im sold!

I love this. Lasts 3 times longer than the proprietary filter media. I keep goldfish, which are pigs. They leave a lot of waste which clogs up most filters. With this filter media not only does it last longer, it also polishes the water better. I will use it from now on.

I use this filter multiple times for my two separate beta fish tanks. I love that I can cut to size and I also have cut some to place in my pool pump to collect the smaller fine debris. Works great!
