I use this filter multiple times for my two separate beta fish tanks. I love that I can cut to size and I also have cut some to place in my pool pump to collect the smaller fine debris. Works great!

If you desire to keep your fish tank clean and have clear water without cloudiness, these are the finishing touch. No doubt about it, the filters are easy to cut and the quality is superb!

Seems to work as well as standard fine pads. I just put this in 12 hours ago or so and the tank is clearing up nicely. Whether that small fine part clogs faster we will see. But for now seems to be doing a great job polishing the water. I will update with my final opinion in a few days to a week. My set up: 40 gallon breeder with a top fin pro 200 (eheim pro 5e). Very heavily stocked with community fish (over 100). Bottom tray has LTW home medium foam green then a layer of this fine pad. Then three trays of biohome ultimate. Then another of these fine pads where eheim recommends to catch stuff that bypasses the trays. So far excellent. No flow issues at all.

Unlike the other filters I use, these need to be handled with kid cloves. Cannot clean them with a garden hose, the layers will separate. They do a great job filtering green algae.

This product is great for the money. I use this in my Marineland Emperor 400 HOB filter. I used to have two filters on my 45 gallon tank, but after using this in addition to my regular filter media, I dont need a second HOB filter. The water is amazingly clear! I also use this in my Eheim Quick Vac. I noticed that even though the mesh in the vacuum is very fine, a lot of stuff escapes the mesh back into the tank. I remove the filter canister and cut a piece of this pad to fit the canister. I shove it in there, and when I vacuum the tank, the water flowing back into the tank is filtered, no poop or gunk going back in the tank. Overall, very happy with this filter pad.

I live in the South and fish with live minnows, threadfin and gizzard shad. Keeping them alive between fishing trips is a hassle to say the least. I built a circulating bait tank in my garage using a bilge pump and aerator for air circulation. I constantly filter the water to control ammonia levels of the water. Previously I, as well as many of my friends, had used synthetic pillow stuffing as on of the filter material. For several reasons that just never seemed to do the job adequately. I purchased this product, cut it to size for my 4 diameter filter system, and it seems to be working wonderfully so far. I have been using it for about two weeks and already notice a significant improvement over the previous materials I have used. Being able to keep this costly bait alive and well until the next fishing trip as opposed to just tossing them into the lake when Im done fishing presents a huge savings which will more than pay for the reasonable cost of this product.

I do partial water changes every two weeks and change the filter every month. It’s decent but can’t compare to charcoal

I have been working on cycling my aquarium for about a month and a 1/2 now and have really been struggling with the nitrites. Despite the many water changes and beneficial bacteria Ive been adding in they just havent gone down and have been at a dangerous level. My nitrites were reduced overnight just by adding these to my filter cartridge. I dont think they were even advertised as nitrite reducers but they certainly have done the trick when nothing else has. This is such an affordable replacement for the carbon filters I have been using and they offer sicker and way more protection and can be customized according to size and preference. You can even add 2 layers of these for even more filtration. No more pricey rip off cartridge filters for me!

UPDATE: I’m still using this product and you can’t beat it. Best value for the money. Can’t help posting pictures of the Plecos Ive been using this filter pad for a year now and couldnt be happier. This filter pad is being used in the sump for my 220 gallon African Cichlid show tank thats running a Sicce Syncra 5.0 pump 1321 GPH. To answer the question Ive seen several times now, Yes this filter pad plugs up faster when you first start using it or if you over feed. Thats because its a dual density filter pad and its grabbing all the extra crap your other filter was missing. No, I dont work for this company and I really dont care if you buy this filter or not. If your on the fence its a great product and works well. Ive uploaded a picture to give you an idea of how clean my water is.
