We purchased this 6mo ago for our son who is 8 and uses it lightly to moderately on street and miniramp. Overall, it worked okay, though as some have mentioned, the coupler tends to come loose and need re-tightening every now and then. Also, the bearings are definitely low end - but hey, its a <100$ scooter... That being said, I wouldnt expect the steerer to snap at its base under the weight of a 2nd grader as this one did! Fortunately, our son caught that it was starting to crack just before he dropped in, otherwise this could have easily led to an ED visit. From what I have read in others reviews, we are not alone in this. This company seriously needs to revisit its quality control of these scooters, and perhaps redesign this CRITICAL SAFETY COMPONENT to withstand the weight of a 60lb rider. I have requested a full refund, as we would not feel comfortable with him riding another Arcade scooter, will update if/when we get a response. unfortunately, I cannot leave zero stars for durability/sturdiness.

He takes it to skate park a lot

Bought this for my almost 10 year old son! He loves it. Weve had no issues. We live on a very steep drive and it is such a smooth ride. Ive rode on it just to try it out and it was so smooth. The neighborhood teens often play with my son and Im very pleased with the durability of this scooter!

I have 2 of these for my kids. The are sturdy, very well made and super quiet. Love this scooter.

My 9 year old used his birthday money to purchase a different scooter off Amazon that was unimpressive from the beginning. 6 weeks later the brake broke off so I purchased this one. Night and day difference between this scooter and the $50 one! This one feels sturdy and rides smooth. We are very impressed with it so far and I would definitely recommend it. It is currently being used by 3 of my boys ages 9, 11, and 13.

This seems to be a well made and sturdy scooter. My boys have been zooming all around the house since they got it (there is too much ice and snow to use it outside yet). I am hopeful it will withhold the heavy use that our others have.
