> 3 dayI have been using Arches for about 6 months after my art teacher insisted I left the cheaper papers behind me. I thought it was a teachers speech but she was so right. I started with arches cold press and immediately my work improved. I love texture so the hot press did nothing for me and I was happy with the cold press until one day I decided to try the rough....and I L-O-V-E it. I still go back to cold press sometimes (I have about 4or 5 books in my reaerve) but more and more I find myself painting in the rough.

> 3 dayThought Id give this a try....Unfortunately for me, this watercolor paper is a bit too rough...just wanted to give it a try...Will try some other techniques on this rough paper to see how it handles different degrees of wetness.

> 3 dayTakes watercolor nicely. The rough surface allows you to use more water without warping the paper.

> 3 dayAs far as value and quality: the best!!! It is always a great choice! For beginners again Arches is wonderful. However, it is on the pricey side and I like having a variety of watercolor paper for practice.
