> 3 dayMy AMD RX 590 started overheating and shutting down without warning even on games that werent graphically intensive. I learned that the manufacturers sometimes dont apply enough or high quality paste on the heat sink. I have used arctic silver in the past but researched that this was a way better paste. This was a bit more expensive but so was my video card especially with the way the prices have been for the past 2 years or so. It wasnt hard to open up my video card and confirm my suspicions. There was barely any paste on the heat sink and what was there was crumbling into pieces. I scrapped it all off and applied a liberal amount of this to the heat sink. It was very easy to spread with a tiny makeup spatula that I had. I let it set for like two days before I put it through the paces. It hasnt given me any more problems and the fans arent working nearly as hard anymore. I still have a ton left in the tube for another day or a friend in need. Definitely recommend!!
