I was terrified reading some of the reviews regarding the smell as I have an extraordinary sense of smell. I was also desperate to remove some lingering odors in my older home. I am not sure why some found the smell so off-putting - I think its perfect!! I was careful to use just a very small amount to test it out first, and did not find the smell overpowering at all. I have since used more of it, and no issues!! Light, clean smell (like laundry), now lightly fills my home, rather than the musty, old smell prior. A little really does go a long way. The area I used this in are two fairly large rooms - 12x15 for one, 50x30 for another - and I only used about a quarter of one box so far. I also have a Dyson ball vacuum and it has left a nice pleasant smell in that as well, with no clogging issues.

I waited a few days after using the product to give it a review. Had I not waited I probably would have given it one star for the smell alone, BUT it ended up actually really working and the smell becomes less potent after a couple of days. We have a seven month old puppy who still occasionally has accidents in front of her crate on the carpet in our bedroom. I have tried everything. When I say everything, I mean everything. Listerine, vinegar, carpet shampoo, you name it. Nothing has worked on the urine smell. I sprinkled this product on all of the carpet in our bedroom (took almost a whole box), and let it sit for about fifteen minutes, then vacuumed. At first I immediately regretted it because the scent is so strong. It’s very abrasive and floral, like perfume, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of five. But now that it has had a few days to calm down it actually smells good and I can’t smell the urine at all! I’m amazed at how quickly and efficiently this product worked.

I put this down about an hour before I vacuum and I love it. It definitely helps freshen the scent of each room including the room that has the litter box!! For all you cat owners you know how that scent can linger but this really does seem to kill the scent for at least a couple days. Its great!

I didn’t read the Oz in this product… which is completely my fault. After getting them, I realized how small they were so one box only lasted for one room. Also, these were more expensive than getting them at Walmart, so I’ll just buy them at Walmart from now on.

At some point my dog decided that pooping in the house is the best revenge for me having a job which results in her only going to the dog park once per day. She is way too smart for her own good and gets a little vindictive. Anyways, maybe once a month or so she will poop on the only carpet rug in the entire house. One awful day this happened while I was at work and before Sir Sucks-a-Lot (my robovac) did its usually round of cleaning. As you can imagine this is definitely not a good mix. My usually reliable friend Sir Sucks-a-Lot went from sucking up dirt and pet hair to a one-day contract as a dog poop steamroller and paved the entire rug. IT. WAS. AWFUL. I smelled it as soon as I came into the house. The sight was way worth than the smell. My once green and white rug was now paved brown with the revenge of my best friend. I spent hours de-pooping and shampooing the rug. Once I was finished, I spread the odor eliminator over the carpet to soak up the remaining moisture (gross), and absorb the smell. 24 hours later Sir Sucks-a-Lot returned to his day job and vacuumed up the odor-absorbing powder and my left my rug smelling great and looking good as new. I highly recommend for anyone with a pet who disrespects their rugs or carpet by pooping inside.

It smells like baby powder which I personally looooove!!! It really makes the whole house smell great and takes all the pet odors away!

its a great product i have 3 cats .i never vacuum my rug without it!
