Ive been in and out of the hospital all summer with a medical condition, and I needed something to carry books and medical papers, along with assorted drugs and smart phone accessories. It has worked out perfectly. There are water bottle pockets on each side, a couple of roomy outside pockets just under the flap, and a smaller zip-up pocket on the inside (perfect for wallet and/or cell phone). It has held up very well to a little abuse. If youre looking for a rigid bag, though, this aint it. Its canvas...you throw a book or a binder into it, and it maintains its shape. I get a lot of good comments on it...its a good bag for a guy (probably a girl too). Thanks!

This pack rests at your side like the possibles bag the 18th century trappers had. Its built of sturdy olive drag canvas with an adjustable shoulder strap and two extra pockets on the side and each end which are protected by a cover which folds over and attaches with hook and loop. It even has a hidden zipper pocket for your valuables.

> 3 dayNice, sturdy bag. It got softer and looks a little more vintage after I ran it through the washer a couple of times and let it dry in the sun. Wish it had a zipper for the main compartment to keep prying hands out and contents in, but thats just my preference, not a flaw of the bag.
