There was a lot to this sketch pencil set. It came with many many pencils and other tools for someone working on sketching. It comes in a nice case. We really like art. I would much prefer them doing something than watching something. It is so important for them to be able to use their creativity. It is nice because they can spend the time doing it. They are excited when they make something themselves. They love to make new art.

Gift for boyfriend

This kit itself is pretty great for the price considering it has a carry case, a full sketching kit, charcoal, and everything you need to sharpen the pencils. however, if you are buying the kit for the colored pencils and you are not a beginner, Id look into other brands such as Prismacolor. the colored pencils dont blend well with solvent for some reason, they dont show vibrantly on the black paper, and they dont burnish very well so blending is difficult. as a gift to a beginner, this kit is amazing for the money but you do get what you pay for, dont expect professional quality in the colored pencils. however, the charcoal and the sketching kit is nice, be careful when sharpening the charcoal pencils they are very delicate and WILL break, sharpen them about halfway with a pencil sharpener, and then use the hand paper to gently bring them to a point.
