Incredibly slow out of the box - we’re talking 30+ seconds to load a web page and a 5 second lag time on scrolling. I bought this to work on BlackBoard and Google Drive. This thing can’t even handle that. Returning immediately.

Laptop itself works well, but when I went to register the warranty, was told it already expired. As a result, I had to call ASUS and was told I had to get an invoice from Amazon with specific information to send to them before they would reinstate the year warranty. Then I had to call Amazon to get the full invoice. I was able to do this but should not have had to deal with this hassle for a new computer.

If you need a computer for everyday work and dont want to pay a ton, this is the computer for you. Its got a great processor and it already has a good SSD so you dont even need to change that. It only comes with 4GB of ram but there is a dock for you to add more (I recommend 16GB). That gets me to the only annoying thing (and its such a tiny thing I could not even dock it a star). There is no easy access to upgrade the ram. You have to unscrew and pry out the entire bottom panel which is a tricky process. But once you do that, you can easily add the new RAM and the panel comes back on very easily. From that point on, you have a zippy little computer that punches well above its weight.

This is a decent laptop. It does what I need, it’s compact and lightweight. The price was worth it.

Trabaja rápido, para un uso estudiantil/oficina cumple perfectamente, lo unico malo es la ubicación del ventilador que es abajo y para tenerla en las piernas es incómodo.

My son needed a laptop for school and after doing some research, this machine looked like it had a great blend of features at a good price. Machine seemed to be working well when all of a sudden it would only boot into the BIOS and there were no bootable volumes found. So theres nothing we can do. Buying a new SSD and Windows license would cost more than the laptop so its a paper weight at this point. SUPER disappointed. First and last Asus computer. Go with a more reputable brand.

I just steered two friends towards this laptop, and both of them are really happy with it. You cant really do better for the money -- the 11th-generation Core i3 process is strikingly good, even though its only an i3, its still multiple times faster than the Intel Celeron and Pentium processors of the same generation, which you must avoid. Im posting this review to let everyone know that the 4GB of RAM (memory) that it ships with in insufficient for most uses. That is intentional on Asus part, so this laptop does not compete with its more expensive and profitable models. While you can limp by on 4GB of RAM, Asus has done two GREAT things in the design of this laptop: There is an unused and available memory socket inside, and the SSD is also installed in a socket. This computer becomes strikingly better once the RAM and possibly the SSD has been upgraded. I want to emphasize that its nearly critical to add more RAM to this computer. Your best bang for the buck is to install a single 8 Gigabyte DDR4 SODIMM memory module, for around $20. Do it yourself or have a friend help you -- its absolutely worth it, and theres no setup or any settings to change, just remove the bottom cover, clip the additional memory module into the socket, and youre off and running with 12GB instead of 4GB. Even better, purchase one of these as used - like new from Amazon for around $200, and youve just gotten yourself what is by far the best bargain laptop available.

Got this for my father for Christmas and its so intuitive I didnt need to train him on how to use it. He uses it for email and browsing the internet although it could be used for so much more!

It only turned on once, then it smelled burning and it never turned on again, too bad it was my New Years gift to my daughter
