There are some strings that are tied together but not all of them. They are great for making bracelets :)

Got this for my niece who just got into making friendship bands. She loves it. Good quality, comes in tons of different color

I really like this product, because you get a lot for your money. Just, some colors you may have expected might not be in there, like there are few to little orange, if not any, and there isnt any coral-looking colors. I probably should have looked if there was every color I thought, but I was too caught up in the good price. I still would highly reccomend, its just there are a lot of greens- especially nasty greens, that will never be used. Again, Id still highly reccomend, because there are lots of other pretty colors too.
