Atom Drop Deck Longboard - 39 Inch

> 3 dayFirst, Im 38 years old and needed something to keep up with my 12 year old. That said, I wasnt sure exactly what to get. Take my word for it, this is absolutely where to start. I sampled many boards at Tillys and the drop deck is where its at. For anyone planning to cruise, this thing is so easy to kick from because of the low deck height. Further, theres just enough flex (Im 62 & 178 lbs) that the ride is fantastic. I mostly ride on asphalt, but itll do well on concrete as well. Additionally, the wheels and bearings provide an incredibly smooth roll. One note, as others have stated, you should slightly loosen the wheel nuts, as theyre a tad too tight from the factory. After a quick adjustment, my board was sailing! My daughter has a Goldcoast pintail with Super Reds and it rolls like a brick compared to the Abec 11s and factory Area 51s. In fact, I now have to replace her board because she always wants to ride my Atom drop deck. Another benefit of this board, is how well it carves. Ive adjusted the trucks to be a little looser and I feel like Im carving through fresh powder on a snowboard. Further, because of the cutouts, youll never experience wheel bind. Really, this is way to go. Finally, its beautiful. Thats not exactly what a dude wants to have his board known for, but this thing is seriously good lookin. The grip tape has a subtle logo cut out, and the underside is just rad! Honestly, theres absolutely nothing I would change. Stop looking and add this to your cart. You wont regret it. BTW - I was not compensated for this review. Im tired of the incomplete, or less than helpful reviews.

> 3 dayThis is a solid board, especially for the money. There really isn’t anything that needs replacing or upgrading if your a beginner or intermediate rider. Just take it out of the box and ride it. I haven’t been skating in over 30 years and I hopped on this thing and it all came back to me. The fact that this has a low center of gravity and is easy to ride makes a huge difference too. I’m glad I picked this board after looking at several others. Perfect choice and I’d buy it again without a second thought.

Greater than one weekLove it! Was never a boarder before. Im 41 and can hang with my son. I did upgrade to some reds bearings right off the bat after reading some things about the stockers, could not be happier! I ended up giving this board to my son but when I want to ride I steal it!

Greater than one weekJust starting to learn with my son and we had some cheap skateboards we started with. Did some reading online and decided on this Atom Board because longboarding seemed like the way to go as a 40+ dad. All I can say is wow. This board is very smooth and going downhill is an experience because the velocity I pick up with this board is amazing. The larger softer wheels make all the difference . The actual board construction is solid and the trucks were tight but not to tight to turn. The graphics look cool and make the board look like I paid twice as much. I highly recommend the Atom Board . My son got on it and I think we are going to buy a second one.

> 3 daySmoothest board I’ve ever ridden. There’s no need for new bearings. Soft wheels. Sharp turns. The wood smells funny but it’s not a terrible smell it’ll wear off. The design is really aesthetically pleasing. For 80$ this is an amazing board.

> 3 dayMy boys have enjoyed cruising this longboard and it seems well made. My only complaint is that about a month after getting it the grip tape started to come up at the bends in the front and back. We live in Wyoming, not sure if the dry climate has anything to do with it. Still a great board, just need to buy more grip tape.

Greater than one weekGreat fully set up board. Rolls right over small pebbles/rocks that might normally send you flying off the board. A very comfortable cruising board.
