Aurifil 50wt Mako Cotton Thread 1,422 yards - Red A1050-2250

Love this thread!! Perfect for quilting!!!

This is the only thread my wife uses now. She loves it!

This thread is not good. Normally aurifil is great. This thread is old and snaps very easily.

This was the FIRST time that I had ever used this specific 100% cotton thread on my embroidery machine. I LOVED it. Since it is 100% cotton, I can use it to embroidery designs on hot pads, micro-wave potato pouch, and etc... What I also loved was that the label at the bottom of the spool has a circular perforated area where the spool can sit on the thread holder. I have found having to pierce a hole or cut a hole at the bottom of other brands, a sticky pain, because pieces of paper can stick to my scissors, or whatever metal I decided to use. Not with this specific spool, the perforated label made it so easy, you just push the center paper in with your finger and the spool is ready to sit on the spool holder. Another plus is how easy it is to start the initial unwinding of thread once the clear wrapper is removed. See attached pics of spool bottom, before I pushed the center in with my finger!

Aurifil is always a great brand. I’ve bought a lot of it in different colors and it’s always good quality, never breaks and doesn’t cause a lot of lint build up in my machine.

Aurafil thread is a top quality 2 ply 100 % thread that doesnt pill in the machine. Colours dont fade.

This is the best thread for quilting. Far superior to other brands.

I went by the reviews but it’s always the opposite This thread is the weakest Everybody was saying how strong it was and how it won’t break but really its very thin if you looking For extra thin thread then this is the one to buy.but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything else It gets a zero
