Autel Battery Tester MaxiBAS BT608 (E), 2023 Upgraded of BT508/ BT506, All System Diagnostic as MK808S/ MK808, Battery Registration, Adaptive Conductance, 100-3000CCA Battery Test, Cranking Analysis

Needed a Battery / charging system tester. Have had great luck with Autel so far so I gave this a try. It works better than I thought. Screen is easy to read and doubles as a handy scanner with live data. My only negative is it should have an AMP clamp .

I was looking extensively for a robust car battery tester with high accuracy for months. I found the Autel BT 608 (E) Battery Tester. This little device is packed with a plathera of features that will amaze you! As a DYI person whose does basic maintenance on many cars, this marvel of technology allows anyone to check car batteries simply following a series of prompts on the five inch color touch screen. Okay, sounds interesting right. Well this unit will test lead/acid flooded, enchanted flooded, AGM flat and AGM spiral and GEL using adaptive conductance for 6 volt to 12 volt batteries. It’s a wi-fi, and blue tooth enabled device with “lifetime” updated via wi-fi on many car manufacturers speciations that are periodically updated. Did I mention the Bluetooth dongle? Yes, it has an obdII dongle so it can populate the screen with information from the car itself! Believe me there more features as well like a built-in thermal printer…etc. The only downside is the price. At the time of this review I payed about $540 plus taxes. It’s a professional level tool for a good price. Auto dealers have just as accurate battery testers that costs thousands. This is a purchase is one I do not regret because of all the features. I can literally check any car battery, alternator and starter in about 10 minutes and give the owner a printout with all the relevant information with a high level of accuracy.

Have used this tool on several vehicles in my family and for friends. This is fantastic and I love being able to print out the full results of the battery, starting, and charging system for their reference. I compared it to both a dealers results as well as a chain auto parts store results and they all agreed on a good battery. The case houses everything I need including extra paper, the cables feel sturdy and theyre long enough to do what I need to do in a vehicle.

Nicely engineered tool that leaves nothing to chance when evaluating your charging system. The screen prompts are easy to follow. You can even expand functionality by adding the optional amp clamp and multimeter. The amp clamp allows you to do a ‘compression test’ which assesses overall engine health. You can use the multimeter to determine parasitic draw-nice. Test results are stored and filed and can be printed. Bring this system with you when buying a used car or truck as it has an OBD function to assess other vehicle parameters.

I am very pleased with the quality and capabilities of the Autel MaxiBAS BT608 Battery Tester. This totally eliminates the guess work in assessing whether your battery and charging system are performing properly or not and it save your money from needlessly replacing parts because you are not sure. I have so far bought 3 different Autel scanner just to register the new battery in my 2008 BMW E60, this one actually worked. Those others did list battery registration in their description, but you could not change the type, AHR, CCA, etc. This one you can. Very easy to use and in a few minutes, I was done. Thankfully I was able to return the other scanners.
